Medicaid ~ Medical Assistance
Medicaid is a federal program administered differently in each state. Minnesota refers to this program as Medical Assistance or MA. This program is funded by federal, state and local governments. MA should not be confused with Medicare. Minnesota offers many healthcare programs.A few of these programs are:

Applying for a Medicaid program can be a daunting task. There are many things to consider. If you are not properly informed periods of ineligibility can occur. It is important to either contact the Department of Economic Assistance in the county you reside or a professional who provides Medicaid application assistance.
